About The Position

Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have between 5–10 years of experience handling a broad range of commercial litigation and transactional matters. This position requires a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and clear, professional communication. The attorney will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm’s footprint and interact directly with clients, business owners, and other industry professionals. Requirements

  • Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a plus).
  • 5–10 years of experience practicing commercial law.
  • Demonstrated experience with commercial contract drafting and review.
  • Proven experience handling commercial disputes and related litigation matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal and business issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

  • Admission to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Handling commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and related claims.
  • Advising clients on commercial transactions, risk allocation, and dispute avoidance strategies.
  • Managing matters involving breach of contract, indemnification, and enforcement issues.
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, as applicable.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to commercial and business law issues.
  • Managing deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness, strategic guidance, and adherence to client guidelines.
  • Accurately recording and maintaining billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met.
