About The Position

The Boeing Global Services' team is searching for an Associate Wiring Diagram Design and Systems Integration Engineer, situated in Long Beach, California. This position is to support the C-17 military cargo aircraft operated around the world. The successful candidate has an ability to perform systems integration; create wiring diagrams, system schematics, block diagrams; read electrical drawings such as wire harness, equipment installation; and resolve technical problems. The successful candidate will work with senior engineer to further develop skills. This position requires someone that is self-motivated and has leadership skills/lead potential. C-17 engineering is a customer focused organization and the ability to build strong customer relationships is a plus. Looking for a dynamic person that is ready to develop and take skills to the next level.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 1+ years of experience in Electrical design (including but not limited to Electrical Systems design, Wire Design, Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design)
• Experience with aircraft wiring diagrams and system schematics

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition, preferably on Unigraphics
• 1+ years of experience with Siemens Capital tool

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains wiring diagrams, system schematics, and block diagrams
• Supports analysis and design reviews
• Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
• Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
• Supports the sustainment, development, and documentation of aircraft systems, primarily electrical and electro-mechanical system design
• Performs root cause analysis for field issues, provides corrective actions, and communicates with USAF customer
