About The Position

The primary work involves restoring fleet trailers to "Like New" condition, including welding, fabrication, assembly, wiring, hydraulics, pneumatics, component rebuilding, testing, and certification. Requirements

Basic computer skills
Basic mechanics tool set, or the willingness and ability to procure one within 90 days of hire
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Ability to do basic math
Strong willingness to learn and develop personal skills and abilities
Strong ability to take direction and input from more experienced co-workers
Strong desire to progress through the qualification process to full Welder-Fabricator status
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Limited or entry level experience with welding and fabricating, ideally from a vocational school, tech school, shop class, or other instructional program
Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and/or flow charts
Strong mechanical aptitude
Creative thinking mindset to suggest improvements and changes

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform individual welding and fabrication tasks on trailers under the supervision of more experienced welder-fabricators
Assist more experienced welder-fabricators with fabricating subframes and weldments
Assist the Site Support Technician with breaking down and disassembly of incoming trailers for rebuilding
Other miscellaneous site tasks and responsibilities as dictated by the site leadership team
