About The Position

The Associate Wealth Management Consultant is responsible for supporting Janney Financial Advisors and Branch Managers to educate and support the growth of our Advisory solutions. This role will align closely with the Regional Wealth Consultant to jointly provide necessary branch and advisor support to achieve defined objectives. Branch travel of up to 20-30% is expected. Reporting is to the Director of Wealth Management Consulting. This role will serve as a point person for a specific segment of branches across a Janney region; and secondary support for branches lead by the Regional Wealth Consultant at his/her direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of Advisory/Managed Accounts background
  • Thorough understanding of the various managed accounts program structures
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with high level of initiative, attention to detail, ability to multi-task & prioritize and provide superior customer service to our Advisors
  • Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of time

Responsibilities

  • Drive key firm initiatives at the direction of WM Leadership
  • Drive adoption of Advisory solutions
  • Travel within designated territory to develop collaborative and influential relationships with FAs, Branch and Regional Managers to achieve defined WM objectives and goals
  • Provide education and training in branches on advisory and proprietary solutions.
  • Work closely with the Internal Advisory Consultants to provide proactive service and create continuity between branch visits.
  • Train and educate on the advisory technology offering, demonstrating best practices.
  • In working with advisors, share feedback to advisory product, technology, and WM Research
  • Assist advisors with portfolio construction and investment product selection
  • Work collaboratively with branch leaders and FAs to identify opportunities to improve asset mix
  • Partner with investment managers to bring solutions to specific asset conversion opportunities
