About The Position

The Associate Visual Designer at Funko will play a crucial role in the Brand & Marketing Creative team, focusing on the creation of professional marketing assets primarily in digital design and photography. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that creative assets meet brand standards and are executed flawlessly, contributing to the overall visual identity of Funko's pop culture collectibles.

Requirements

• Minimum Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years' experience in production-based graphic design and digital asset creation, as well as photo retouching, preferably for a consumer product company.
• Experienced in product-based and/or catalogue photography, including post-production and image manipulation.
• A complete portfolio of visual design examples showcasing digital design and retouching skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a well-developed artistic and creative aesthetic.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Superior organization skills and ability to multi-task across several ongoing projects.
• Ability to follow a project from concept to completion.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary to complete time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the creation of marketing assets, including resizing and adapting creative assets for social media graphics, web banners, emails, and digital ads.
• Assist with product image editing, including photo retouching, color correction, and image enhancements.
• Collaborates with direct teams and stakeholders to determine visual design preferences and expectations.
• Designs original graphics with unique colors, shapes, and typography fonts.
• Maintains schedule and organization to ensure all materials are created to meet deadlines.
• Enhances digital images through the application of contrasts and gradients.
• Adapts to design feedback quickly and accurately to ensure consistency and goals are met.
• Keeps track of advancements in visual design technologies and industry trends.
