Requirements

  • PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 15 to 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Extensive preparation of control strategy and regulatory submissions.
  • Experience with mentoring and coaching senior level scientists and engineers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of parenteral drug product development and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Drug Product team in cross-functional discussions and support formulation and process strategy development.
  • Identify, evaluate and build new formulation technologies for clinical development of novel parenteral drug products.
  • Provide guidance on or directly drive formulation and/or process development for parenteral drug products.
  • Interface with various teams to develop a holistic strategy for efficient collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Discovery teams for seamless asset handoff from discovery to clinical development.
  • Drive innovation agenda and assess cutting-edge formulation technologies.
  • Identify and spearhead research efforts on new drug delivery technologies.
  • Establish and leverage strategic relationships with academia and start-ups.
  • Drive a strong innovation agenda leading to publications and industry influence.
  • Coaching, training, and performance management of personnel.
