About The Position

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Nursing Operations Downtown and Post-Acute Care provides executive leadership and strategic direction for nursing operations across UF Health Jacksonville, including inpatient operations, care coordination, transitional care, and post-acute services. This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes across the continuum of care�from acute inpatient settings through skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and home health partnerships.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida (or eligible for licensure)
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive nursing leadership experience in hospital or health system operations, including oversight of multiple departments or service lines.
• Deep understanding of nursing operations, post-acute care systems, and care coordination processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across disciplines.
• Proven ability to lead through change, drive strategic initiatives, and achieve measurable results.

Nice To Haves

• DNP or PhD
• Certification in Nursing or Healthcare Leadership (e.g., NEA-BC, FACHE, CPHQ)
• Experience in post-acute care, case management, or care transition leadership
