About The Position

The Associate Vice President IT: Patient Access Applications is responsible for providing operational and strategic direction for software applications, including planning, development, and operations. This role involves collaborating with operational leaders to maximize the use of information technology and ensure alignment with the organization's objectives. The position requires Epic experience in Cadence, Prelude, Referrals/Authorization, and Welcome.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in information systems, solution design, systems development, implementation, and installation.
  • 5 years of management experience in project management and managing multi-discipline work teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven track record of managing/directing technical staff and financial resources.
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management.
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices in information systems operations, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Understanding of health care delivery and dynamics within a large integrated health care system.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and operation of applications within application scope.
  • Document and evaluate current systems, recommend and justify improved systems, and contribute to priorities for system implementation.
  • Ensure applications are designed and interfaced to satisfy users and maintain accessible and integrated information.
  • Execute and provide results of all phases of system applications according to established time frames.
  • Manage contracts, vendor negotiations, and navigate the governance process.
  • Consult with users to identify, evaluate, and formulate strategies for improvement in applications.
  • Act as the primary contact and liaison for operational partners.
  • Manage hardware, software, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Oversee the development, execution, administration, and evaluation of information systems processes.
  • Perform human resources responsibilities for staff including interviewing, promotions, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and recommend operating and capital budgets and control expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct.
