About The Position
South Dakota Mines seeks an Associate Vice President for Student Success. This is a full-time benefited position that reports directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). This position leads the division of Student Success and oversees all functions of student success on campus. Oversight includes the Vanderboom Office of Student Success, career services, makerspace, tutoring, testing, tandem advising, library services, and Women in Science and Engineering.
Requirements
- Master's Degree required in Business, Education, or related field.
- At least three years of progressive leadership and professional experience in a related area such as student success or student development, preferably within a higher education setting. Relevant experience in a high school setting (such as a counselor, advisor, or in a student success role) will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and foster collaboration across departments.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time and project management abilities.
