The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Facilities and Campus Planning reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Senior Vice President for Business Affairs. This senior executive provides strategic leadership and oversight for campus master planning, facilities operations, space management and capital construction. The role oversees large-scale projects and infrastructure initiatives, ensures compliance with TAMUS and state regulations, and strengthens collaboration with stakeholders at the university and system level. The AVP ensures that the physical environment supports PVAMU’s Strategic Plan 2035 – Journey to Eminence by investing in people and performance, advancing teaching excellence, enriching student success, expanding research capability and fostering social responsibility. This position operates in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and requires frequent collaboration with academic administrative and external partners. The AVP for Facilities and Campus Planning will have multifarious experience in facility operations and campus planning.
