Founded in 1889, Saint Anselm College is a Catholic, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition. The community includes over 2,200 students and 24,000 alumni. The College is seeking a talented, results-oriented professional with fundraising and management skills to serve as the Associate Vice President for College Advancement. As a senior member of the College’s dynamic advancement team and reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, this person will take a leadership role in designing, developing, evaluating, monitoring and planning strategies for the college's advancement services, annual giving, alumni engagement and major gifts programs. In addition, the Associate Vice President will be responsible for holding teams accountable for results; budgeting, project management, recruiting, training and supervising staff and logistical services for the department and senior-level support for the Senior Vice President for College Advancement and Chief Advancement Officer. The Associate Vice President will be a liaison for the department with other college-wide departments and will be a visible presence at campus events. Additionally, the Associate Vice President will manage a small portfolio and will assist with solicitations for the college’s various annual campaigns, including Giving Tuesday, Days of Giving and President’s Society. Master’s degree preferred plus 5-7 years of experience in fundraising with a record of increasing responsibility or equivalent management experience in a non-profit organization required. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and extensive experience in fundraising and alumni relations for higher education. The successful candidate will have excellent management skills, a high level of computer literacy and competence, the willingness and aptitude to work with and motivate others, including volunteers, and excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Other qualifications include the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, to exercise discretion and to work beyond normal schedule when required, as well as enthusiasm for the mission of Catholic, Benedictine undergraduate liberal arts education and active support of the vision of Saint Anselm College. As a senior member of the College Advancement team, this role is central to the daily management of the department, and is based primarily on-campus.
