Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), a Carnegie R1 research institution, is in a period of remarkable growth in research and innovation, with research awards increasing by more than 80% over the past two years. We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation (AVCRI). This individual will play a key role in shaping the future of the research and innovation at Missouri S&T, serving as a key of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation's (VCRI) leadership team. The successful AVCRI is a possibility-thinker who will collaboratively define and advance institutional research priorities, foster a culture of innovation and discovery, and implement initiatives that elevate Missouri S&T's academic and research profile. This role will also focus on ensuring the success of driving academic collaborations and economic development through research-driven partnerships. The AVCRI will provide strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the Division of Research and Innovation, including oversight of the Office of Sponsored Programs. This role is central to advancing Missouri S&T's research enterprise. The successful candidate will be an accomplished scholar with a demonstrated record of research excellence and leadership in fostering research growth and development within the research enterprise. The AVCRI will lead efforts to develop and support initiatives, resources, and partnerships that promote research excellence and professional development. This is a full-time administrative position. Subject to departmental recommendation and qualifications, the appointment includes a tenured faculty position at the appropriate rank within a relevant academic department.
