LA28 does not provide relocation assistance. LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. Associate, Venue Development The VNI (Venues and Infrastructure) team plays a critical role in delivering competition and non-competition venues that are functional, innovative, and fully accessible for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of the larger Sport and Games Delivery group, the VNI team ensures that all venues are designed and developed with the highest standards for functionality, sustainability, and inclusion. Reporting to the S enior Manager , V enue Development , the Associate, V enue Development will support the planning and coordination of venue design subfunctions within a group of venues . This role will focus on team support, monitoring project timelines and , collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills and a n organized and efficient work product . This position is hourly non-exempt.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience .
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools advantageous .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making
- Ability to travel to venues and work on-site as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture , Engineering, Sports Management, Construction Management, Event Management, or related field or equivalent work experience
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with s ports and major event planning preferred .
Responsibilities
- Venue Planning & Development Collaborate with internal functional areas (FAs) to support the development of venue design
- Support the maintenance of project plans for venue design and infrastructure development to align with overall Games timelines
- Operational Coordination Support the integration of cross-functional requirements (e.g., ticketing, hospitality, security , sport ) into venue design processes
- Assist in preparing materials and coordinating venue-specific workshops with internal and external stakeholders
- Track action items, deliverables, and follow-ups to support timely project execution
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with key FAs, including Event Management , Operational Departments , and Sport , to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of venue infrastructure
- Support p roblem-solving efforts related to venue planning and execution
- Manage functional area requests and outputs across the V enue Development team
- Support reporting processes, including preparation of presentations, updates, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders
- General support to the Venue Development team.
