Requirements

• 3+ years in consulting, venture capital, strategy, or startup operations.
• Comfort with quantitative and qualitative analysis — from market sizing to business modeling.
• A technical foundation (engineering, physics, computer science, or related field) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a bias toward clarity, action, and collaboration.
• Located in Albuquerque, NM or a desire to relocate there to be in-person with the team.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging technologies and markets across energy, compute, and manufacturing to uncover high-potential opportunities.
• Evaluate early-stage technologies and founders through commercial and technical diligence.
• Build financial models, venture theses, and investment memos that inform new company formation.
• Translate insights from adjacent industries to frame and accelerate entirely new venture ideas.
• Collaborate with founders to shape business plans, go-to-market strategies, and early customer pathways.
• Contribute to Roadrunner’s evolving venture-creation playbook and the deep-tech ecosystem in Albuquerque.
• Speak to the customers themselves and guide how the next generation of frontier technologies are built.
