Associate Utility Technician Position Overview This position is for an entry-level Associate Utility Technician role that requires minimal experience (0-1 years) and a high school diploma or GED. The role primarily involves cleaning and disinfecting biomedical devices while adhering to strict safety protocols in a healthcare-related environment. Shift Details: Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm ET.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 years of experience (entry-level position)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Properly wearing personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, gowns)
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Performing cleaning and disinfection operations on biomedical devices
- Handling potentially infectious materials while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Supporting general operations within the Biomed Center as directed by leadership
- Maintaining clean work areas to ensure workplace safety
- Meeting individual and departmental productivity goals
- Demonstrating teamwork by assisting in various functions within the Biomed Center
