Join our Regional Accounts Underwriting team, where you’ll evaluate group insurance risks, make sound business decisions, and help grow a profitable, long‑term book of business. We are hiring across three levels—Associate Underwriter, Underwriter, and Senior Underwriter, where the role will be determined by experience and knowledge. In each role, you’ll analyze case data, apply underwriting guidelines, and partner closely with producers and internal teams to deliver responsive, high‑quality service. As you develop your technical, analytical, and communication skills, you’ll gain increasing independence, authority, and opportunities to contribute to departmental initiatives and mentor others.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required, bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred
  • Associate Underwriter: 0–2 years of insurance, risk analysis, or related experience
  • Interest in developing underwriting expertise and strong analytical skills
  • Underwriter: 2–5 years of group insurance underwriting experience
  • Ability to manage a book of business and make independent risk decisions within authority
  • Senior Underwriter: 5+ years of group insurance underwriting experience with demonstrated success in complex case evaluation
  • Strong producer relationship management and ability to influence account strategy
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and underwrite group insurance risks (typically 10–999 lives), applying underwriting guidelines, procedures, and state regulations
  • Evaluate case data, financial information, and risk indicators to determine appropriate pricing and coverage
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, field partners, and internal teams
  • Provide timely, customer‑focused service and clear communication on underwriting decisions
  • Participate in training, knowledge‑sharing, and departmental projects that support team goals
