About The Position

The Trust Officer is responsible for the effective administration of personal trust accounts, estate settlements, investment agency accounts, and other fiduciary relationships. This role ensures high‑quality client service, adherence to fiduciary standards, regulatory compliance, risk management, and the prudent oversight of assets. The Trust Officer serves as a trusted advisor and partner to clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and internal partners.     Oversees general administration of probate estates and related trusts in accordance with Bank’s policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. Oversight will be provided by supervisor and fiduciary team, as well as Compliance and line of business management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in wealth or trust department
  • Excellent organization, communication, and client service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including office software such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, juggle a variety of tasks, and interact with staff at all levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to accept new assignments and pitch-in.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a member of a larger team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and/or Trust School preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer a portfolio of trusts, estates, investment agencies, and custody accounts.
  • Interpret trust instruments, wills, and legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing account reviews.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients and beneficiaries.
  • Provide proactive communication and guidance.
  • Complete required administrative, investment, and compliance reviews.
  • Research legal, regulatory, and fiduciary matters.
  • Coordinate valuations, tax filings, and distributions.
