About The Position

Clyde & Co is seeking a litigation associate with 2-5 years of experience to join our Irvine office. This practice is international in nature and represents overseas and domestic clients in commercial disputes and in sensitive investigations and government inquiries. This team handles matters across a variety of industries, with a particular emphasis in shipping and trade-related matters, including regulatory compliance and investigations.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice in California, additional admissions a plus
  • Exceptional legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Federal court experience and maritime experience would be a plus, but not required
  • Bilingual in Korean a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pleadings and briefs
  • Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients
  • Attend depositions, hearings and mediations as required
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw
  • Draft interrogatories and document demands
