Duties: An Associate Transportation Engineer I is responsible for assisting in the design development of transportation projects on local roadways and state highways under the direction of their Supervisor or Project Manager. This includes assisting with the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E) construction documents, and performance and documentation of engineering calculations. This position will regularly include coordination with Wallace Group project team members. With guidance from senior staff, the Associate Transportation Engineer I is expected to understand and comply with project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and to develop an understanding of industry standards and design criteria. Specific Experience: The ideal candidate has successfully completed coursework related to Transportation Engineering and has exposure to a variety of different transportation design standards via an internship. Internship experience that included the use of AutoCAD Civil3D is preferred. Key Expectations: Our team is keen on professionalism merged with fun and a responsible work ethic. The Associate Transportation Engineer I is expected to work in the office a minimum of four days per week to facilitate team work, training, and mentorship.
