About The Position

The Associate Transit Management Analyst position is part of the Transit Management Analyst Series within the NYC Transit Authority, specifically in the Subways department. The role is based in Brooklyn, NY, and involves providing administrative and analytical support for Facilities capital projects. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Facilities Project Management Ops & Support and will work from 8 am to 4 pm. This position may be filled in a competitive or non-competitive class based on qualifications, and candidates are encouraged to indicate their interest in the 55-a Program in their application materials.

Requirements

• A master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field or a baccalaureate degree with two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in relevant areas.
• For the Associate Transit Management Analyst position, a master's degree with one year of relevant experience or a baccalaureate degree with three years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis, design and implement studies, and identify trends and root causes including monitoring and managing overtime and project status.
• Maintain information system(s) for planning and control of project development and status.
• Support management decision-making through the implementation of new and existing analytical tools.
• Develop reports and presentations to disseminate analyses and conclusions.
• Coordinate, request and schedule inspections; track punch list items.
• Organize and prepare information for various surveys and reports due on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Track, log, and distribute correspondence and provide written responses to inquiries received.
• Other tasks as directed.
