Associate Test Technician
About The Position
Element has an opportunity for Seasonal Associate Test Technicians to join our rapidly expanding Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) team. Element is a test facility for wireless device certification, conducting regulatory and conformance testing for network test services. As a member of the operations team at our Morgan Hill, CA lab, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.50 /hour Role Type: Seasonal Work Shift: Day Shift: 6 am - 4:30 pm Night Shift: 4 pm - 2:30 am (Extended hours will be expected) Project Duration: March - October 2026
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor in Engineering or STEM, Technical School Certificate, or equivalent with experience
- Must have excellent organizational skills, fast learner, team player, and detail oriented
- Strong attention to detailed and computer literate
- Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
- Must have the initiative and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
Responsibilities
- Performs and analyze SAR/RF and RF exposure compliance testing and evaluations per regulatory specifications
- Compiling and reporting test results using MS Word and MS Excel
- Evaluate devices and determine applicable standards
- Collaborate in a team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc.
- Maintain laboratory test methods and test equipment
