About The Position

This position is likely to be filled as a day shift role , but flexibility for swing shift (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM) may be required. You will work inside the GCMS laboratory to quantify the cleanliness level of KLA equipment components. Key responsibilities include: Follow instructions from MDE chemists while proactively building strong relationships with internal customers. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot GCMS instruments to ensure optimal performance. Prepare samples, calibrate instruments, test samples, and deliver accurate, timely results in a fast-paced environment. Separate, identify, and quantify impurities and target compounds. Set up and conduct materials outgassing and experimental work, including developing procedures, performing experiments, and maintaining detailed records. Manage laboratory inventories, including reagents, gas cylinders, and consumables. Clean, package, and ship sampling kits to customers for sample collection. Support flexible work schedules to accommodate manufacturing sample requirements.

Requirements

  • Technical school or equivalent vocational training with at least 3 years of relevant work experience (AA degree or equivalent required).
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
  • Experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory.
  • Ability to read complex technical drawings and apply mathematics, handbook formulas, and precision testing and measuring instruments.
