As an Associate Territory Manager, you will utilize clinical and/or business expertise to drive sales of the BDPI portfolio of products as well as patient education in targeted accounts. This individual will support and execute against the Regional Manager's (RM’s) business plan by working closely with the field team including RM's, Territory Managers, and Procedural Specialists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 1-2 years of outside sales experience or equivalency.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate for and promote to available account representative positions.
  • Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Good judgment and professional behavior.
  • Basic knowledge of the Laboratory and Medical Device industry.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build and sustain professional relationships with hospital, other sales, and corporate office personnel.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the regional sales team (and national sales team as needed) in gaining exposure to US healthcare, specifically laboratory, nursing, and physician engagement, advancing one’s BD Way of Selling and business/industry acumen.
  • Complete sales training learning IDS portfolio to support field associates effectively.
  • Protect and grow IDS portfolio.
  • Primary emphasis will include consumables with potential for Microbiology/Molecular capital instruments.
  • Provide customers with product information, data insights, clinical education, and product training.
  • Inform customers of new and current pricing, backorder management, and company policies.
  • Executes comprehensive in-service of IDS products to all concerned individuals.
  • Works closely with field associates and Regional Business Manager (RBM) on planning and prioritization of sales calls, managing time and business travel effectively.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of all IDS products.
  • Work closely with and often communicate with both field associates and RBM within assigned geography
  • Inform field associates and RBM of significant changes in customer accounts.
  • Report customer complaints by IDS complaint policies and procedures.
  • Complete all administrative duties associated with the position per policy.
  • Cultivates new and existing customers to establish long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Work a flexible work schedule and travel to meet the needs of IDS customers.
