The Associate Territory Manager (ATM) position in Specimen Management is an entry-level role designed to support a team of Specimen Management Consultants (SMC) and Clinical Specialists (CS) in achieving sales objectives through targeted customer engagement, negotiation, contracting, training, and general sales support. This position offers exposure to BD's Specimen Management portfolio, which is crucial for understanding the products and services offered by the company. As a member of the sales team, the ATM will gain valuable insights into the US healthcare system, particularly in laboratory, nursing, and physician engagement, while advancing their knowledge of BD's Way of Selling and business acumen. In this role, the ATM will complete sales training to effectively support field associates and protect and grow the Specimen Management portfolio. Responsibilities include providing customers with product information, data insights, clinical education, and product training. The ATM will also inform customers about new and current pricing, manage backorders, and adhere to company policies. A significant part of the role involves executing comprehensive in-service training on SM products to all relevant stakeholders, collaborating closely with field associates and the Regional Business Manager (RBM) to plan and prioritize sales calls, and managing time and business travel effectively. The ATM will develop a thorough knowledge of all related products and maintain regular communication with field associates and the RBM within their assigned geography. They will also be responsible for reporting customer complaints in accordance with company policies and completing all administrative duties associated with the position. Building and cultivating long-term relationships with new and existing customers is essential, as is the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to meet the needs of IDS customers.
