Your opportunity This role is an excellent launchpad for individuals with solid technical fundamentals who are eager to become experts in the observability space. You will collaborate with other Support Engineers to creatively and passionately assist with customer issues, while honing your technical skills. Use your insight and creativity to help us identify recurring or systemic problems and suggest ways we might address them.

  • Collaborate across teams to assist in solving routine to moderately complex technical customer problems across our product suite while appropriately involving senior technical SMEs for assistance in highly complex issues
  • Support New Relic customers by resolving various installation, configuration, and data exploration requests.
  • Be an advocate for our customers to our Product Organization by providing feedback on feature requests and bugs that improve the customer experience of the New Relic platform.
  • Advance your skills through additional training and development into features and capabilities of our Products.
  • A love for delighting customers, even those who are having a tough day!
  • Experience building, maintaining, and/or monitoring servers in an enterprise or self-managed environment.
  • Foundational Knowledge about AWS and containerization concepts such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Can demonstrate basic to intermediate troubleshooting skills and a willingness to investigate non-obvious answers.
  • Experience with other SaaS platforms such as Azure, GCP, or similar cloud environments.
  • API Exposure: Foundational knowledge of API concepts (REST/GraphQL) and experience with a client tool like Postman or cURL to execute and test basic requests using API keys.
  • Experience in a Technical Support role or a similar customer-facing technical position.
  • A good understanding of Linux-based web hosting and Linux environments (services, permissions, and file manipulation).
  • Exposure to observability vendors and/or OpenTelemetry concepts.
  • Exposure to scripted deployment skillsets (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible).
  • Experience with Network, System, or Database Administration.
  • Any relevant Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner).
