Johnson Controls is seeking an Associate Technical Product Manager to help shape the future of Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC Control Systems, and Critical Environment Control Solutions. You will work closely with engineers, senior product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the development of innovative, scalable, and business-aligned solutions. Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC control systems, BAS applications, and Critical Environment solutions.
• Ability to analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to inform product decisions.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Passion for product innovation, technology, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for standalone applications related to BAS products, evolving toward integrated solutions that span multiple system components and market verticals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and align with broader product strategies.
• Ensure product development efforts are focused on customer needs while driving business value.
• Act as the Product Manager for Critical Environment solutions within BAS systems.
• Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) research, define product requirements, and prioritize development efforts.
• Collaborate with dedicated product managers, engineering, and application teams to refine solutions addressing key industry challenges.
• Provide technical insights and best practices to support field teams and enhance solution adoption.
• Assist in executing product launch strategies, such as contributing to the development of product literature, marketing collateral, training material, new product code setup, and other deliverables needed to support a product launch.
• Assist in product discontinuations, including coordinating with sales, engineering and factory teams, and developing communication materials to inform stakeholders of changes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for product inquiries that require product management support, ensuring timely and effective resolution of inquiries.
• Support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives by reviewing proposals for customer-facing product changes and collaborating with technical communications to update literature and develop communication materials to inform stakeholders of approved product changes prior to release.
