About The Position

The Associate Technical Designer for Women's at Stitch Fix plays a crucial role in ensuring the fit and quality of women's apparel across various categories. This position involves managing product category fit sessions, utilizing innovative data platforms, and leveraging client feedback to enhance product quality. The designer will work collaboratively within a team to maintain high standards and execute brand guidelines effectively.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and understanding of fit and technical construction in multi product categories for core/plus size.
• Excellent multi-tasker, extremely detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Passionate about using data science and client feedback to improve overall quality and fit of garments.
• Expertise in textiles, pattern making, grading, construction and pattern terminology.
• Experience working with factories and understanding of production timelines, equipment and garment construction options.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Fluency in Google Workspace and strong experience evaluating 2D patterns (experience in Optitex 2D software or 3D CLO software a plus).
• 3+ years of technical design experience in the apparel industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage product category fit sessions ensuring style and fit intent is executed to Brand guidelines.
• Utilize innovative data platforms as well as 2D, 3D pattern and fit software.
• Leverage client feedback to determine areas of improvement across styles and implement product action plans to improve fit consistency across your category/categories.
• Develop, implement and maintain category quality, construction standards and fit blocks.
• Build close relationships with cross-functional team members and external vendors, as well as leverage team member expertise and provide feedback when appropriate.
• Create opportunities to lead special project initiatives.
• Support across the broader Technical Design team as required.
