About The Position

As an Associate Technical Designer for Kidswear, you will play a crucial role in shaping the designs of some of the world's most beloved fashion brands. Your creativity and technical skills will be essential in transforming style plans and sales needs into tangible products that meet market demands and price points. This position requires collaboration with technical design and production teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. In this role, you will be involved in the style and fit approval process, working closely with cross-functional partners to meet deadlines and resolve any issues that arise. You will assist the Technical Design Manager in creating accurate specifications and determining the proper fit and construction of garments. Your responsibilities will include measuring and preparing samples for fit sessions, participating in those sessions, and providing detailed notes and recommendations for fit and construction improvements. You will also be responsible for producing accurate specification packages that adhere to established fit, construction, and safety standards, and for communicating development and fit information to overseas vendors. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with well-known brands such as Under Armour, Billabong, Roxy, and Quiksilver, contributing to the growth of the Kids Division. You will also support various technical design projects and initiatives, including 3D initiatives, and maintain tracking logs and measurement records to support the technical design workload.
