About The Position

We are looking for an Associate Technical Architect (Java) to design, build, and scale modern backend systems using Java and cloud-native architectures. This role is ideal for senior engineers who enjoy working on microservices, AWS infrastructure, and distributed systems, and who are comfortable operating at both hands-on and design levels. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to build resilient backend services that support enterprise-scale platforms.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in Java 11 / 17 / 21
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture using Spring & Spring Boot
• Experience with AWS cloud services, especially DynamoDB and EKS
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Spinnaker)
• Familiarity with Scala (and/or Python)
• Experience with both NoSQL (DynamoDB) and relational databases
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Docker, Kafka, Datadog
• Experience deploying applications to AWS using EKS
• Exposure to large-scale, distributed enterprise systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices
• Build and maintain services using Java (11/17/21) and Spring Boot
• Design and develop RESTful APIs
• Work extensively with AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, and EKS
• Ensure scalability, performance, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical and business requirements
• Stay current with backend technologies and architectural best practices
