If you're a college graduate or career changer considering teaching, become an associate teacher at Ascend! You'll join other exceptional aspiring educators for a challenging and rewarding teacher training program in Brooklyn. You'll start by taking part in summer training, in which you'll learn the basics of classroom management, lesson planning, and pedagogy to set you up for success with your students. Throughout the program, you'll work under the close guidance of an experienced mentor teacher, receiving consistent feedback and development in Ascend's instructional and philosophical approaches. Ascend is the largest Brooklyn-based public charter school serving over 5,000 K-12 students in 17 schools.
