About The Position

WHAT YOU'LL DO Support head teachers to develop and teach engaging, creative curriculum and lessons, aligned with Avenues expectations and approach Lead guided reading groups and support all aspects of Chinese literacy instruction Collaborate closely with a team of English, Spanish and Chinese immersion teachers to continually improve student learning and school culture Participate actively in ongoing professional learning Help to build a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to value being at school and feel part of a joyful community Foster strong relationships with families and parents

Requirements

• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in kindergarten
• Fluency in Mandarin and professional fluency in English
• Solid understanding of early literacy and math instruction
• Deep dedication to learning and developing the craft of teaching
• Superb ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals
• Curiosity and humility, to reflect, welcome feedback, and continually grow in teaching practice
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s candidates in early childhood or bilingual education strongly preferred
