About The Position

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking an Associate Tax Auditor (ATA) to join the Business Analytics Unit. This position is responsible for implementing complex business rules and processes to identify potential underreporting of sales and use taxes by taxpayers. The ATA will work under the general direction of the Supervising Tax Auditor (STA) II and collaborate with Technical Leads and Senior Team Members. The role requires performing complex calculations, comparing reported amounts with other data sources, and understanding how sales and use taxes apply to various businesses. The position may be located in one of the in-state field offices or headquarters, with telework options available for eligible candidates.

Requirements
