Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Integration Engineer to join the Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support (SEOSS) Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Next Gen GEO (NGG) team. In this role, you will be key to ensuring the successful development of the NGG infrastructure and successful system tests to lead to the successful launch and early orbit test of the NGG space vehicle. This position works closely with the functional leads across hardware and software and will act as a system integrator for OPIR NGG infrastructure team.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Systems Engineering process
  • Information technology or system administration experience in Linux or Windows
  • US Citizenship Required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to do minimal domestic travel if required
  • System integration experience of large-scale distributed infrastructure systems
  • Data center operations/system administrator experience, preferably in a DoD environment (RMF, STIG, or NISPOM)
  • Networking understanding/experience
  • Project management skills or expertise, specifically Jira/Confluence and/or agile training as a SCRUM master
  • Ability to support on-call 24X7 and off-shift for mission critical events/operation that may require extended hours or weekend supports
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
  • Active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support all NGG Helpdesk interactions with users and engineers
  • Maintain SharePoint documents and infrastructure
  • Support integration of projects across the NGG infrastructure team while interacting with hardware, software, network, and architecture skill domains
  • Support ground systems and configure testing and operational support
  • Perform system analysis and interface definition and management/execution
  • Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution
  • Participate in and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews
  • Participate in failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards
