With some guidance from experienced staff, the Associate System Engineer supports various application environments on a Windows platform in order to ensure high availability and business continuity in accordance with department operating procedures and sound systems administration practices.

Requirements

Associate degree required.
Demonstrated experience in the administration of Windows servers, domain servers and supporting applications.
Knowledge of networking technology. Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
Experience with Active Directory user management.
Ability to completely document systems as built.
Demonstrated problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills required for problem definition and resolution.

Responsibilities

Implements and maintains Windows servers to support the implementation of UHS clinical, business, and security applications or application environments and platforms.
Oversees Active Directory.
Monitors system logs, performs operating system upgrades.
Creates and maintains documentation of application servers.
Supports the overall technical infrastructure related to assigned server environment.
Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center.
Implements modifications to existing systems or applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives.
