About The Position

The Associate Supply Chain Planner at Perry Ellis International is responsible for managing the flow of inventory from production to shipments at the brand level. This role involves recommending buy placements and ensuring that supply meets consumer demand while adhering to corporate profitability standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and motivated, with a background in retail or wholesale buying and planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 1+ years of retail or wholesale planning/buying experience.
  • Strong retail math knowledge and understanding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze results and identify financial and merchandise solutions.
  • Team player with a self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Recommends buy placements for replenishment items based on demand and optimal inventory position.
  • Monitors and reviews placements of production orders in collaboration with senior planners and finance.
  • Manages the Open to Buy plan by coordinating with sales, planning, and finance teams.
  • Runs reports to track performance of replenishment programs by label and style.
  • Reviews inventory and makes recommendations for movement to off-price channels.
  • Prepares reports for inventory meeting reviews by label.
  • Tracks work-in-progress (WIP) and production orders.
  • Drives efficiencies across brands by reviewing assortments and fabrics with the merchandising team.
  • Collaborates with sales and planning teams to review unsold and aging inventory.
