About The Position

The Associate - Supply Chain Management-Inventory Planning & Control - Finished Goods role at Lilly is focused on supporting the logistics and distribution of clinical trial materials. This position acts as a liaison between Supply Planning and Warehouse Operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of shipping orders and the management of inventory related to clinical trials. The role emphasizes customer service, collaboration with internal and external partners, and the execution of order management processes to facilitate the delivery of critical materials to clinical trial sites.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Knowledge in distribution, logistics, warehouse, import/export, supply chain, and/or pharma cold chain
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and cGDPs requirements
  • Experience with inventory management, preferably in clinical trials

Responsibilities

  • Ensure shipping orders are accurately created and confirmed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in setting daily priorities for warehouse operations and manage DSS priorities.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Clinical Trial shipments for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Execute order management and associated processes for receiving and shipping of CT materials from other warehouses or packaging collaboration partners.
  • Provide customer service support to address customer inquiries related to shipments and develop solutions for identified issues.
  • Execute processes to support date extensions and restickering activities for CT materials stored in the warehouse.
  • Recognize and investigate departmental errors or issues and provide possible solutions.
  • Manage group email notifications to obtain necessary cross-functional and collaboration partner information.
  • Gather and maintain information used to track shipments and develop business metrics.
  • Support the development and implementation of key process improvements.
