The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact. Role Description · The Supply Chain Lead - Warehouse Data will support SAP system functionality and related platforms for the Lilly Medicine Foundry warehouse operations. It will serve as the bridge between technical data architecture and functional supply chain processes. This lead ensures that the data driving procurement, inventory, and logistics is configured and maintained accurate, secure, and optimized for real-time operations. · This role will spearhead data initiatives for SAP S/4HANA implementations and continuous improvements. They own the data strategy for warehouse and material domains, overseeing configuration of SAP and MES data and establishing long-term data governance frameworks. The role is both strategic (defining the data roadmap) and hands-on (validating source-to-target mappings and cleansing complex datasets). It will design business processes for goods receipts of materials from vendors & third-party warehouse, implement and design of the business processes for kitting processes as material flows from warehouse storage to Production operations and support the set-up of SAP functionality supporting those processes. Additionally, it will engage and support process for selection of key service providers, freight forwarder & Vendor managed Inventory, service level agreement, identification of key KPIs etc. and introduction of shipping business processes engaging with the designated freight forwarder.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP data management, analytics, configuration or functional consulting related to Supply Chain materials management and warehouse operations functionality, preferred in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.

Responsibilities

  • Governance & Quality: Establish frameworks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of critical master data, including, but not limited to, Material Masters, Storage Bin structures, storage and put away strategies for different types of materials and status, Handling Unit types, material movements, goods issues/receipts and Business Partners.
  • Functional Integration: Collaborate with Business Process Managers to map and validate transactional data across integrated modules, specifically linking procurement/inventory with inbound/outbound/physical inventory functionality in SAP.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Define the strategy for real-time warehouse analytics using SAP and other tools, designing dashboards to track KPIs like inventory accuracy and resource utilization.
  • Process Optimization: Lead workshops to document "As-Is" processes and design "To-Be" data flows for advanced functionalities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate data-related risks during initial system implementation and future cutovers to ensure minimal disruption to warehouse operations.
  • Develop and Implement quality systems for Logistics Centre & materials management including creation of work instructions, SOPs, training material pertinent to receipt, kitting, shipping and general warehouse practices
  • Develop & monitor daily performance of systems & KPIs, looking for trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Engagement and relationship management with service providers
  • Ensure all GMP requirements & Sarbanes Oxley controls which fall under the warehousing facilities are completed e.g. pest control, temperature monitoring, cycle counting etc.
  • Participate in Quality & Safety Time on Floor (TOF) audits.
  • Understand transportation regulations, to ensure site shipping processes adhere to these regulations.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, process optimizations, streamlining work instructions & SOPs.
  • Knowledge of inventory management system e.g. SAP eWM
  • Influence storage strategies based on capacity, safety stock strategies and segregation of materials.
  • Support & participate in Safety assessments, job hazard assessments, FMEAs relevant to warehouse operations and material movement equipment.
  • Support change & deviation management within the materials management function
  • Benchmark of emerging Material Management / Logistics initiatives within Lilly network, as well as external markets.
  • Post start-up, provide daily operations support in the following areas - (i) receipts of inbound materials (ii) replenishment of kits for production (iii) general material flow through the Logistics Centre and (iv) execution of daily shipments
  • Support the design and execution of shipping qualification for shipment of frozen drug substance.
