About The Position

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA. Our LTS (LinkedIn Talent Solutions) Monetization Strategic Finance team is seeking an Associate to partner with LinkedIn's LTS leaders in shaping GTM finance strategy, monitoring key business metrics, identifying trends, and assessing the financial impact of strategic initiatives. This role will support the LTS Growth and Performance Strategic Finance team - helping to craft both long- and short-term GTM strategy through data-driven insights, managing performance to understand and optimize field growth, and helping Sales and cross-functional teams (PMM, Pricing, GTM Ops) prioritize based on impact sizing. The role will span three core areas of responsibility: Reporting and Metric Alignment / Messaging: Drive clarity and consistency across LTS reporting by aligning key metrics, synthesizing trends, and shaping the narrative for leadership updates and strategic reviews Performance Management: Own reporting and analysis for a portion of the business, delivering weekly projections and actionable insights to help leaders understand drivers of performance and identify opportunities for improvement Planning and Target Setting: Support annual and ongoing planning cycles through deep dives and side models that help triangulate projections, pressure-test assumptions, and ensure alignment between top-down targets and bottom-up inputs A strong candidate is equally comfortable and skilled at crafting a thoughtful plan and rolling up their sleeves to get it done. We are looking for someone who excels at driving execution across multiple senior stakeholders, demonstrates strong ownership to dig deep into highly technical and complex areas to drive impact, and is highly analytical with strong business acumen. Key partners this role will collaborate with include Sales, Pricing, PMM, GTM Ops, and Strategic Finance partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 1 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy or growth role within a technology company
  • Experience decomposing and solving real-world business problems, ideally using advanced Excel / SQL skills; able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher level strategy
  • Effective communication skills to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations; ability to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership

  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics-oriented perspective, with some supervision

  • Develops standard workstreams and operational processes according to defined procedures
  • Begins to identify obstacles within immediate scope and makes recommendations
  • Performance Management
  • Supports performance management by creating, maintaining, and updating basic models and forecasts for assigned metrics
  • Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform data sources and analyze to assess signals, trends, and risks, with some support from more senior team members
  • Leverages comprehensive knowledge to develop hypotheses using identified signals, trends, and risks
  • Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address well-defined business questions, deriving actionable insights from results
  • Begins to work with cross-functional teams to design experiments to close deviations from targets
