You’ll support communications campaigns from the ground up — pitching media, drafting content, and collaborating across a high-energy team to deliver results for clients who really care about impact.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight timelines.
  • Strong project management instincts and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of AP Style.

Nice To Haves

  • Media relations experience and existing reporter relationships.
  • Familiarity with Cision or Meltwater.
  • Experience in a fast-paced agency or political communications environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support client engagements and assist with day-to-day account activities under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help ensure projects stay on track, timelines are met, and all plans ladder back up to broader campaign goals.
  • Coordinate deliverables, review work products, and participate in client meetings as appropriate.
  • Assist in drafting and executing communications plans across earned, owned, events, and stakeholder engagement channels.
  • Support media outreach — pitching stories, tracking coverage, and maintaining media lists and reporter research.
  • Contribute to the development of owned and social content to ensure alignment with broader campaign strategy.
  • Draft and edit written materials such as briefing documents, press releases, advisories, blog posts, and social content.
  • Support presentations for clients and identify opportunities to add value to engagements in partnership with senior team members.
  • Developing initial communications strategies for local, regional, national, and/or global audiences.
  • Drafting press releases, blogs, op-eds, briefing documents, organic content, and other communications materials with limited revision needed.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with influential media to secure and grow coverage.
  • Pitching and securing press coverage for clients across a variety of beats.
  • Planning and executing events and key moments for clients.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to manage assigned tasks and workloads.
  • Stay open to feedback and actively invest in your own professional development.
