About The Position

The Associate Manager supports all Resale Store Senior Manager responsibilities and duties as needed or requested.

Requirements

• Excellent leadership and management skills, written and verbal communications, critical thinking and creative problem solving, organization and planning, and business management.
• Ability to interact with senior management, external business partners and vendors, employees, and volunteers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Point of Sale software.
• High School degree with one year of management, retail and/or resale work experience.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain business operations within approved budget.
• Involved in software programs and oversight related to the proper handling of all money.
• Participate in planning and implementing of pricing and store sales activities.
• Supervise and oversee all aspects and daily operations of the New to You store in a manner that promotes positive public image and helps maximize donations and sales.
• Assist with the management, scheduling, training, and supervision of all New to You store employees and volunteers.
• Oversee the general maintenance, appearance, and cleanliness of the New to You store.
• Promote safety and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Help assure proper use of all New to You assets.
• Serve as cashier and support cashier, merchandising, and working the dock when required or requested.
• Accomplish all duties associated with opening and closing cash registers. Must have working knowledge of all functions of the resale process.
• Support all backroom efforts as needed or requested. Ensure donated items are sorted, screened, and priced for the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Help assure accurate record keeping and prepare reports and/or provide business information as needed.
• Manage employee, customer, donor, volunteer, and client relationships.
• Foster a positive image of Barnabas in all business activities.
• Oversee and manage relationship and business activities with subcontractors and vendors associated with New to You store.
• Assure that the front and back store areas are maintained in a properly stocked, staged, neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
