About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Tennessee Department of Correction. We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Physician to join our Tennessee leadership team and serve as the Associate Statewide Medical Director & Utilization Management Advisor. This position is based out of our regional office located in Nashville, Tennessee. The Associate Medical Director is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the clinical services provided within the Tennessee Department of Corrections correctional institutions as well as for serving as a resource to the contractor’s medical staff to provide comprehensive medical consultation and direction as needed. The Assistant Medical Director evaluates the medical care provided and delivers recommendations and direction to ensure quality medical care, as well as the Utilization Management team and promotes the culture of right care by utilizing the evidence-based standard of care and advocating the right interventional timing and quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
  • Active and unrestricted Tennessee medical license or the ability to obtain licensure required
  • Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
  • Ability to pass credentialing, background check and drug screening
