About The Position

The Associate Staff position at MIT Lincoln Laboratory involves working on advanced concepts and technologies aimed at enhancing national security. The role focuses on developing technology to protect military personnel and assets against sophisticated threats, particularly in maritime environments. The candidate will engage in research and development activities, including algorithm development, software and hardware prototyping, and data analysis, within a collaborative and diverse team of experts.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of directly relevant experience.
  • Significant experience with signal processing techniques and algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as MATLAB or equivalent.
  • Coding experience in Python, Julia, Java, C/C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with DoD systems and concepts.
  • Familiarity with RF systems and electronic warfare principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in digital signal processing and advanced algorithm development for radar and electronic warfare systems.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to design and integrate systems.
  • Participate in experimental field-testing and data analysis.
  • Develop prototypes for advanced electronic warfare systems and sensors.
  • Apply knowledge in physics, mathematics, and engineering to solve complex problems.
