Our Company is currently seeking candidates for the position of Associate Specialist, within the Quality Control team, specifically for the Animal Biologics group at its Elkhorn, Nebraska facility. This position will work, under minimal supervision, in the Quality Control Testing Team.

  • Perform potency testing utilizing ELISA on experimental samples, in-process lot material and final product animal vaccines 'in-vitro' for USDA release and subsequent sale in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Conduct testing investigations, assist and participate in laboratory test scheduling, and participate in assay transfers.
  • Prepare and participate in Internal, Corporate, USDA and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits.
  • Review internal documents against regulatory requirements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Work on special projects and stretch assignments as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or technical support.
  • Experience with Reliance, ELISA, investigations and change controls.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities while effectively meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively follow procedural guidelines.
  • Readily accepts performance feedback and incorporates this feedback into future performance.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience in an animal or human health biologic laboratory setting.
  • Experience with in-vitro testing, concepts and principles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Biotechnology.
  • Knowledge of 9CFR applications as applied to in-vitro testing for release of biological product.
  • Ability to troubleshoot assay issues and perform investigations with a solid scientific foundation.
  • Ability to successfully assume/complete additional technical responsibilities with little supervision.
