Role Summary We are seeking a Associate Solutions Architect to support the development and delivery of technical solutions across the Rowan project portfolio. This role is an important part of the technical team, contributing to solution design, and cross‑functional coordination from early planning through implementation. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in technical problem‑solving, solution design principles, and modern infrastructure or cloud‑based technologies. While experience in data center or industrial environments is beneficial, it is not required. Candidates with broader technology, engineering, or architecture backgrounds who are eager to grow into complex solution‑design work are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, a customer‑oriented mindset, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and the capability to support multiple initiatives simultaneously. Comfort navigating ambiguity and working effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment is essential.

Requirements

  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering. Other related fields may be considered. AIT/EIT required as a minimum level of professional certification. Sustainable design accreditation and/or professional licensure preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience overseeing architectural design and construction activities in the field with strong knowledge of building systems best practices, safety standards, and quality control procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, REVIT, NAVISWORKS, and Blue Beam Revu
  • Knowledge of A/MEP design and construction practices and processes required
  • Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
  • Knowledge of QA/QC and specification processes
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate large teams and consultants
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Experience communicating with senior leaders and executives at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, and highly cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work with little oversight. The Rowan team collaborates constantly; however, the successful candidate should be comfortable working independently
  • Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to make decisions under challenging circumstances

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating A/S/MEP design activities with external engineering consultants and support cross discipline design alignment.
  • Help gather and document customer A/S/MEP requirements in partnership with the Solutions Architect Team.
  • Support updates to Rowan’s prototypical “Form Factor” designs, including quarterly adjustments for power, cooling, and rack density changes.
  • Provide basic onsite support during construction to help verify architectural and structural work aligns with design intent.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to help address site specific challenges and improve constructability.
  • Assist with coordinating construction documents prepared by third-party design consultants.
  • Help identify project risks throughout the lifecycle and escalate them to senior technical staff.
  • Contribute to developing engineering standards, documentation, and team processes.
  • Provide technical data and documentation support to the Commercial team and program managers.
  • Lead the development and evaluation of test fits by translating customer technical and spatial requirements into viable architectural solutions, ensuring alignment with Rowan’s Form Factor standards and cross functional engineering inputs.
