About The Position

The Associate, Solution Center at USC serves as the first point of contact for HR inquiries from employees, retirees, and candidates. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, communications, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in human resources, customer service, or higher education.
  • Familiarity with case management systems.
  • Experience developing guidelines, policies, documentation, and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply pertinent rules and regulations and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and reporting findings.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, efficient, and courteous support to university employees via phone or email with HR-related questions.
  • Open cases, complete Workday transactions, and maintain accurate records of employee cases.
  • Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for HR knowledge and escalate requests to Tier 2 when necessary.
  • Manage and maintain clean and accurate employee records through skilled data entry and document management.
  • Deliver clear and professional written and verbal communications, demonstrating active listening skills and empathy.
  • Act as a public-facing representative of the HR function in all customer interactions.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in determining next steps toward resolution for unfamiliar requests.
  • Support efforts to gather data for informing system and process improvements.
  • Develop trusting relationships through ethical judgment and confidentiality.
  • Support strategic goals set by the team and university.

Benefits

  • Hourly range of $30.27 - $34.00 based on experience and qualifications.
