About The Position

VTG is seeking a highly qualified Associate Software Engineer with hands-on experience in C++ and Qt for designing and integrating Human Machine Interface (HMI) and control functionality for submersibles and surface craft. The role requires experience with software development in an Agile environment, with firmware experience being a plus. This position is located in Manassas, VA. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge and experience of Linux-based design of Human Machine Interface and control systems. The individual will work on a small, diverse team developing and delivering command and control systems to submersibles and surface craft. This role involves being part of a team responsible for the design, development, test, and integration of software. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter who thrives with limited supervision and will report to the Decision Support System program leads developing software solutions for relevant programs.

Requirements

• Hands on experience with design and integration using C++ and Qt to develop a Human Machine Interface and Control Functionality for submersibles and surface craft.
• Experienced with SW development in an Agile environment.
• Ability to work in a multiple discipline team in support of command and controls system design and integration.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• US Citizen with current SECRET Clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Successful completion of background check.
