Summary: In this role, you will work with Vizient’s Internal Analytics team to build and support data engineering solutions. You will ingest data from multiple source systems, transform and curate data using medallion architecture, and deliver high-quality datasets for analytics and reporting. You will apply your technical skills and eagerness to learn to develop reliable, scalable, and efficient data pipelines that enable business insights and decision-making.

Requirements

• Relevant degree preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Experience with SQL and data processing required.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration required.
• Understanding of data quality, validation, and troubleshooting techniques required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building or supporting data pipelines and transformation workflows preferred.
• Experience with Python, Spark, or similar technologies preferred.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Databricks preferred.
• Experience with version control systems such as ADO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design data pipelines to ingest data from various source systems into the analytics platform.
• Develop data engineering solutions to transform and curate data across bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT workflows to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data assets.
• Utilize Azure and Databricks to create secure and scalable data processing solutions.
• Support preparation of curated datasets for analytics and business use.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
