Team Summary Our athenaClinicals team builds code that matters, working on the core workflows used daily by over 100,000 healthcare providers. We develop the interface that makes interactions between providers and the electronic health record seamless and intuitive, ensuring that doctors have the right information at the right time. This team is innovative and passionate, driven by a mission to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. As part of this team, you will contribute to software that directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical care, helping to shape the future of healthcare technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in software development or related roles.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop code on an agile team of Engineers, a Scrum Master, a Product Owner, and Experience Designer
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement features that enhance clinical workflows.
  • Write and optimize queries for relational databases to support application functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Support continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Assist in documenting software design and development processes.
  • Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Engage in learning opportunities to build technical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the development lifecycle.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with peers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to healthcare software.
