About The Position

Echo Global Logistics is a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation management services. As a third-party logistics provider, we simplify transportation management for our clients and carriers, handling crucial tasks so they can focus on what they do best. From coast to coast, dock to dock, and across all major transportation modes, Echo connects businesses that need to ship their products with carriers who transport goods quickly, securely, and cost-effectively. We are seeking a Full Stack Associate Software Engineer who is passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to deliver high quality, highly available solutions. This role contributes to the Engineering of large-scale solutions that enable Echo's business while supporting the strategic architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance and function. The Associate Software Engineer is an active member on a dynamic team looking to build Best in Class software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of professional software engineering experience in at least one of the following modern languages: Python, Java, GoLang, .Net or Node.js (Internship experience does not apply)
  • Experience collaborating in team environments
  • Familiarity with Agile practices
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following modern languages: Python, Java, GoLang, .Net or Node.js
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
  • Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our transportation logistics partners.
  • Utilize programming languages like Golang, React, Python, SQL, Node, Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
