As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will develop and institute an automated and repeatable Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) framework for our application suite in Advisor Services Technology (AST) organization. You will also be responsible for providing ongoing build and release support for AST applications. At its core, the role of a SAvE team member is being responsible for integrating multiple systems, collaborating with AST to build and deploy applications, and implementing improvements to drive operational efficiencies. Partner with Lead Developers and Architects in development of pilot initiatives and integrate with automation pipelines for enhancing software delivery performance.

  • Develop and institute an automated and repeatable CI/CD framework for application suite in AST organization.
  • Provide ongoing build and release support for AST applications.
  • Integrate multiple systems and collaborate with AST to build and deploy applications.
  • Implement improvements to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with Lead Developers and Architects in development of pilot initiatives.
  • Integrate with automation pipelines for enhancing software delivery performance.
  • BS in computer science or related technical field.
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more object-oriented languages (C#, Java preferred).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools: GitHub, Git Actions, Bamboo.
  • Understanding of software theory and algorithms, software engineering lifecycle/design, database design and data storage, network security and architecture, operating systems, and ethical programming.
  • Familiarity with one or more databases, Oracle, SQL, Mongo.
  • Working knowledge of Shell scripting/PowerShell.
  • Understanding of Pipeline as Code, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Knowledge of microservice architectures, and deployment strategies like Big Bang, Blue/Green, Canary.
  • Excellent debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and be a catalyst for change.
  • Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies and procedures.
  • Financial industry experience is a plus.
  • GCP, Azure, AWS certification or equivalent cloud platform experience.
